Kellen Clemens Re-Signed, Denzel Perryman to I.R.

The Chargers announced the re-signing of QB Kellen Clemens. Bringing back the longtime backup had been expected since his release on cutdown day. The move was procedural, since as a vested veteran he could be released outright and then re-signed, whereas fellow QB Cardale Jones would've been subjected to waivers and available to be claimed by any team had he not made the initial 53. Clemens remains the favorite for the backup job, whereas Jones will likely begin the year as a game-day inactive. LB Denzel Perryman (ankle) was placed on I.R. to clear up a roster spot. Perryman will be eligible to return after week 8.
