Despite finishing first overall in offense and defense, the San Diego Chargers missed out on the playoffs last season after finishing 9-7 behind the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West. With the 18th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, they decided their best chance at bouncing back to reach the playoffs next season was to focus on defense–which is why they selected Illinois defensive tackle Corey Liuget. Rant Sports NFL Draft Special: San Diego Chargers on the Clock
On Monday, RantSports.com will be hosting the Rant Sports NFL Draft Special as the 2011 NFL Draft quickly approaches on Thursday April 28. San Diego Chargers Release 2011 Schedule
On Tuesday, the San Diego Chargers released the 2011 regular season schedule as they look to bounce back from last season–which marked the first time they missed the playoffs since 2005. They open the season at home against the Minnesota Vikings before traveling to Foxboro to take on the New England Patriots in Week 2. (more…)
Chargers Release 2011 Preseason Schedule
Despite the current lockout, the NFL released the 2011 preseason schedule for all 32 teams on Tuesday and will release the regular season schedule next week. This year, San Diego will face four teams from the NFC–three of which are from the NFC West. (more…)
