Darren Sproles signs his tender

Chargers RB Darren Sproles signed his tender on Friday. The Chargers made him a restriced free agent this season and his tender offer was 7.281 million according to sources. It was important for San Diego to retain Sproles and currently he is the only running back on the roster.
Darren is a great 3rd down change of pace back. He has a career yards per carry average of 4.5. Sproles is also very important in the return game for San Diego.
San Diego is widely believed to address the glaring hole at the running back position in the upcoming draft, though a draft day trade isn’t out of the realm of possibility. I still say that a trade with Buffalo for Marshawn Lynch is very likely to happen.
